Besides the world of educating people that I wrote about in my previous post, there is a whole world of consulting that I want to embrace. There are clients that understand they need to move into this space but are unclear about how to do it. That’s where I come in as a consultant, as someone that will strategize and plan out how to implement the concepts I teach. This will involve working with both end-clients and advertising firms.
The bigger the end-client, the more chances there are that I will work with an advertising agency (which is perfect as far as I am concerned). One of the things that I want to be quite careful about is how I position this new company. I have no desire to be in competition with advertising agencies. Ad agencies are by far my favorite clients to work for. Their level of creativity and the level of understanding that they have about impacting consumer psychology and behavior is wonderful. They are just the most brilliant folks. So what I want to do is to be a resource to them and not a threat.
Some of our work has been for end-clients. One of my clients right now is whocanisue.com. I am working with the president of the company about what kind of different web videos, engaging games, iPhone applications, Facebook applications and media bytes can we utilize in terms of online advertising. How can we pull all these things together so that 1+1=3?
